Add a skill

Become the diver you want to be, one skill at a time

A specialty takes one part of diving and teaches it properly: staying down longer, controlling your buoyancy, diving deeper, exploring wrecks or bringing home good photos. You do the theory at home with PADI eLearning, then spend a day or two in the water with your instructor.

Specialties fit easily around a diving holiday. Five of them, together with Rescue Diver, count towards PADI Master Scuba Diver, the highest non-professional rating PADI gives.

PADI specialties in Hurghada

Why take a specialty on holiday

A diving holiday is the easiest time to learn something new. You are already diving every day, the water is warm and clear, and a specialty turns two ordinary dive days into a new skill and a new certification.

Nitrox and buoyancy: the two most useful

Enriched Air Nitrox lets you stay longer at the same depth, which matters on a day of two or three dives. Peak Performance Buoyancy makes every dive easier: you use less air, tire less and stay clear of the coral.

Deeper and further

Deep Diver takes you to 40 metres, the limit for recreational diving. Wreck Diver teaches you to explore wrecks safely.

Towards Master Scuba Diver

Five specialties, together with Rescue Diver, count towards PADI Master Scuba Diver, the highest non-professional rating PADI gives.

Booking

You can book a specialty on its own, add it to a week of daily diving, or include it in a package with your stay and transfers.
